Monica Roccaforte All Muvies

of The Alhambra and Sierra Palomera. Mallo

Via Ferrata of the Alhambras needles. Short but fun.

upper reaches of the needle of the Alhambras VF.
is one of the last ferrata Aragon. Located south of the province of Teruel, near Manzanera, between the towns of The Alhambra and The Elms. Having shared with a small budget adventure park, located along to detour to The Alhambra-Los Olmos has been in love and I can not. It is small but intense, and it's a shame because I had ground for having expanded (eg, instead of equipping down the stretch, it is installed to the top of another needle, rappelling down from two). It may be interesting to complement other activities in the area : The Ravine Cocioles , ravines and Losilla White Houses. The Pico Javalambre by Arcos de las Salinas ascending through the GR-10 and down the ravine of Aisles (downclimbing).

Starting
approach.

First section of the ferrata, reaching the window rock.
After reading some comments online about this way, we encourage you to go to climb, thinking it would be easy for young children. But to get to the staples, it is evident that they were too far apart for children 7-9 years. On stretches of climbing (III °-III +) had no problems but we prefer to descend. Some people, perhaps some "catch-wires", ranging from more than enough time to comment on these routes, putting it all as very easy (just contrary to Jesus Calleja "the ezagerao"), and after doing so many miles with children remember them.

Carlos attacking the track, III degrees.

As
final section of the via ferrata of The Alhambra.
via ferrata is short but difficult, D-(A III + as climbing is easy, but it ferrata not seem half as much). Being so short is not demanding fisicamente.Las people prefer low rappelling from the top (18 meters) to avoid downclimbing widely separated by staples.
is appreciated only staples are installed when there is no natural prey (although this limestone polished end use). The general trend in Spain is over equipment on the via ferrata, which makes them climb walls without touching the rock, which is as absurd as boring.

Sierra Palomera. Striking watchman at the head of Jiloca. Circulating

between Teruel Monreal del Campo and highlights the Sierra Palomera by the steep slopes. Its summit reaches 1529m. high, but if we have your "ferrata" crest.

Sierra Palomera. Teruel.
Although our plans were to make the ferrata Needles the Alhambra and the river trail Guadalaviar , unable to climb all the ferrata, decided to climb the mountain instead of the riverside promenade. I remembered a brief overview of a publication Prames, which marked a track south to the Hermitage of the Virgen del Castillo. It turned out that normal access is from the west by the Bco. of the Virgin (Ask at Torrelacárcel or Torremocha of Jiloca), or the North from Aguatona .
effects of erosion in the garrigue.
We venture along a track that died in some fields. We started to climb a ridge to our left. Following a white fitas cattle trails that crossed the ridge, we agreed to a track in poor condition, which amounted to a hill east of the peak, from which you reached the top. But being so short the days in January, we had the top down leaving for another day. Return.
